History of
stoney creek
The land where Camp Liberty calls home has had a sacred purpose for many years.

Several years ago, a team of extremely dedicated and loving people looked at 50+ acres of land and they had the vision of building a camp which would provide a Christ-centered summer experience for young people who couldn't otherwise afford it. They followed the principles of Matthew 25:40

"The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of Mine, you did for Me.'"

Thus, came Stoney Creek Christian Camp and Camp 2540, as well as a positive impact on hundreds of young people who have gained an understanding of the love of Christ.

In early 2016, Liberty Communications, LLC, a Veteran-owned business with a long history of operating high-adventure and military-style training programs, and Stoney Creek Outreach Ministries, went into a real estate purchase agreement which transferred ownership of the Stoney Creek property in September 2016.

Liberty Communications, LLC, has offered to support the continuation of Camp 2540 through use of the camp's facilities each summer. Camp 2540 is a free camp for youth age 7 to 12 from lower income families who might not get to attend camp with a youth group. Each camper receives free accommodations for four days and three nights, free meals, lots of fun activities and crafts, a T-shirt and the opportunity to get to know Christ as their Savior.
